New Classes “ESP Running Mechanics” added to Summer 2022 Schedule

Ben joins the ESP team this summer with a degree in Human Health and Performance from UW-Whitewater. Ben has 10 years of coaching under his belt mostly in track and cross country. Ben has helped multiple athletes set school records as well as qualify and place in state competitions. Ben is passionate about improving movement skills and teaching athletes the “how and why” behind the training. Ben is an avid runner and competes in several races each year.

Join in on our summer pilot class: ESP Running Mechanics. All ESP athletes will have eligibility to attend any of these classes! We just hope you can keep up with our new trainer, Ben McElmurry!

Ages 11+

ESP Running Mechanics will be split into 2 different classes: “Fleet of Foot (FoF)” and “Intervals”. All of these classes are included in any ESP package.

ESP Fleet of Foot (FoF) – Focus on running form in this 1 hour class. Whether you are a team sport athlete, short, mid, or long distance runner, this class will lead you towards better splits, faster starts, and better overall mechanics. Power development as well as explosiveness will be some of the benefits of this class.

ESP Intervals – Join running coach Ben McElmurry in this 1 hour class highlighting speed endurance and anaerobic/aerobic threshold training. Classes will focus on intensity ranges for the individual athlete. This will include modules that will support mid to long distance athletes.

Classes will be held Tue/Thu/Sat mornings in the summer. View the schedule below to see the exact times that we will be offering.
