Prairie Athletic Club (Member Update)

Prairie Athletic Club | Message To Our Members

The health and well-being of our members and staff if our top priority.

We have been working for the past few weeks to double check our current cleaning process and products. We have been reassured that the processes and products we are using will be effective against the Coronavirus. We will continue to welcome members as we navigate this situation.

We have increased cleaning after all adult and youth classes as well as personal training appointments.

We have added hourly checklists for our staff to wipe down down handles, railings, chairs, tables, counter tops, high chairs, etc.

We have added paper towel as an option in the workout rooms along with the towels to wipe down workout equipment. We are working on a reliable supply chain to add wipes in the work out rooms as well, which could come as soon as this weekend. We have a limited supply of wipes now and we are using them in classes where that process makes the most sense.

We have ordered hand sanitizer with 60% alcohol base. The supply chain has been limited but we did get a shipment today.

We have spoken with our cleaning company, Coverall, and they are prepared to do a deep sanitation clean if needed.

We have purchased an electrostatic sprayer than can spray large amounts of fitness equipment down with disinfectant.

There is no evidence that COVID-19 can be spread to humans through the use of pools and hot tubs.

What can you do as members when you come to the club?

  • Wash your hands before and after your workout.
  • Don’t touch your face before washing your hands.
  • Limit close contact with other members.
  • Wipe down all surfaces you have touched while working out.
  • Spray the equipment directly. Then wipe the surface down.
  • Don’t come to work out if you are sick (even a little sick).

**Working out is an immune booster and viruses are not transmitted thru sweat.**

This is new for us to navigate but we are committed to being responsive and implementing preventative measures in line with the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other health agencies.

Thank you for your cooperation | PAC Management and Ownership
