Heroes Workout- Raising the Barr. Join B2BT and CrossFit Vultus as we honor our hometown hero Cory Barr and the men and women who continue run into harms way for our protection and safety. This fundraiser is a fun workout to raise some money, but mostly to honor our local first responders. Proceeds enhance our Fitness Readiness program which provides fitness memberships, fitness classes, and fitness equipment to equip our local first responders to be physically fit for duty.

The Workout

As many Overhead Presses as possible in 20 minutes on 9 Barbells

  • 25# Barbell
  • 35# Barbell
  • 45# Barbell
  • 55# Barbell
  • 65# Barbell
  • 75# Barbell
  • 95# Barbell
  • 115# Barbell
  • 135# Barbell

**There will also be 5.5lb youth bars and PVC pipes for any kids that would like to join in on the fun

The goal is to keep the barbells moving throughout the 20 minutes as much as possibly, athletes should rotate as much as possible on weights they are comfortable with.  This workout is designed to be fun and allow anyone from any skill level the ability to join in on the fun.

Back to Basic Training is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to empowering, strengthening, and aiding in the rehabilitation of our community heroes through a synergistic approach involving adaptive fitness programs, mindfulness practices, and the deepening of social connections. Specifically, Back to Basic Training was formed to provide disabled and/or wounded veterans and first responders with access to exercise settings and classes that motivate and encourage them to become part of a community. The work of Back to Basic Training is supported by the work of physical therapists, personal trainers, coaches, and sports psychologists.

CrossFit is a process of taking your mind and body from it’s current state to becoming fit and physically competent to handle all of the challenges in life. We accomplish this by getting you to step outside of your comfort zone. Education is a big part of CrossFit Vultus, when you start you are not expected to have the knowledge you need. As you work to become a fitter and healthier person, you will learn about: Movement – How to move safely and effectively. Fitness – What it means to be fit. Its definition, the supporting theories, and how to go about attaining it in real life. Nutrition – What you fuel your body with will make all the difference in the world when it comes to performance.
