Endurance Coach – Wayde

I was in High School in South Africa and was active and competitive in Track and Field, Rugby, Tennis and X Country. Having grown up at the Ocean I was a Surf Lifesaver and became very comfortable swimming open water in the ocean. In 1995 my wife coaxed me into running and we raced many road races ranging from Half Marathons, full Marathons to Ultra’s. In 2005 I started Cycling competitively, also completed my first Ironman. This released the Triathlon bug. I also continued bike racing and competed in the CAT 2 division. Soon Triathlon became the main focus. Competing, training and living the Triathlon lifestyle has afforded myself and my family a healthy productive environment. I would like to coach to help fellow athletes experience what I have gained from the sport and hopefully contribute to them reaching the multi sport goals they would like to set for themselves. I believe coaching is about the personal touch and understanding the athlete needs and aspirations for the sport.
