Broadway Bound: Musical Theater Dance & Performance

Discover Youth Theatre at PAC!

Discover the storyteller within! In this 8-week youth theatre class, students will go beyond technical steps to explore the world of Musical Theater Dance. Unlike competitive dance, which often focuses on high-impact tricks and technical precision for a score, musical theater dance is all about character and narrative.

Each week, students will:

• Dance with Purpose: Learn new choreography that focuses on using body language and facial expressions to “act” through movement.
• Find Their Voice: Combine singing with dancing to bring iconic Broadway scenes to life—shifting the focus from technical perfection to authentic performance.
• Explore Styles: Discover how musical theater blends jazz, ballet, and even pedestrian movement to tell a specific story rather than just hitting a mark.

This session is perfect for young performers who love to perform with personality! We will build confidence and teamwork each week, leading up to a final showcase for parents and friends on the last day. No prior experience is needed, just a love for the stage.
