I have a very personal connection to fitness, having used it to rebuild myself while having a muscle weakness disorder that impacts my abilities. I spent years in physical therapy and through that journey have learned to persevere and overcome all odds. I started swimming at a young age to help strengthen my body and that led into spending 3 years as a sponsored triathlete. I made it to triathlon Nationals twice and that experience has taught me that you can do anything you set your mind to.
My experience has been multifaceted, having grown up around personal trainers most of my life, and playing a lot of different sports. I have tried everything from ballet to boxing, but so far, my favorites have been swimming and horseback riding. I spent a few years coaching at a boxing gym and doing youth fitness classes, but I love working with all kinds of people. I love to hear your life stories, and I want to help you improve yourself beyond what you believe is even possible. I have a focus on functional fitness, rehab, working with your own unique situation/body, and improving all metrics of athleticism from balance and agility to strength and muscle development. To me personal training represents doing good for yourself and directly working to improve your body and mind and I find that incredibly inspiring. I want everyone to know that they can be the best version of themselves, no matter what life throws at you.
When it comes to coaching, I feel confident in coaching athletic/sport performance, working with clients who are currently in physical therapy and those who are seeking nutritional counseling. I hold several certifications through NASM, such as being a Certified Personal Trainer as well as a Nutrition Coach and a Corrective Exercise Specialist. I am intending to pursue a degree in sports science as well. because I want to gain as much knowledge as I possibly can to help people with all aspects of wellness.
